15-year-old girl dies by suicide in hostel washroom in Telangana; probe underway

PARKAL: A 15-year-old girl, Eku Srivani, took her own life by hanging in her hostel washroom on Monday. The incident unfolded at the Telangana social welfare residential girls hostel in Narsakkapally, under Parkal police station limits.Srivani, a resident of Parkal, had been residing in the hostel since the 6th class. She is currently in the 10th class.According to Parkal ACP C Satish, "The girl wrote some notes expressing that she no longer wished to live. She mentioned that her mother had passed away during her childhood and wrote, "I want to come to you.""We are investigating all possible aspects to understand the reasons behind Srivani's drastic step. The inquiry will determine the cause of the girl's death," said Satish. He added that a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by Eshwar, and the investigation is ongoing.
